What problem does it solve?
Security companies and residential managers often cannot tell whether night patrols were carried out as planned. Paper tour sheets can be filled in afterward, while expensive dedicated reader devices suffer from breakdowns and data transfer issues. When an incident occurs, proving where the guard was at that time becomes difficult, and reporting service quality to the client is impossible. Reports of faults, suspicious situations or damage seen by guards travel scattered across calls and messages and are not recorded.
Target customers
- Private security companies
- Residential complex and apartment management
- Malls, business centers and parking operators
- Factories, warehouses and logistics facilities
- Hotel, hospital and campus management
How the product works
The manager defines the facility's checkpoints in the dashboard and prints a unique QR tag for each point. Tour plans are created with time windows and assigned to guards. The guard scans points in order with the PWA app; each scan is recorded with a timestamp and optional location. A missed checkpoint or late tour reaches the manager instantly as a notification. The guard can report an incident seen during the tour with a photo and note. The security company sends its client a periodic patrol report as a PDF in one click.
What the first version (MVP) needs
- Checkpoint management: defining points and generating QR tags
- Tour planning: timed tour templates and guard assignment
- Guard app: QR scanning via PWA and offline recording
- Missed tour alert: instant notification for delays and missed points
- Incident reporting: incident records with photo, note and priority
- Panic button: fast alert to the manager in emergencies
- Client report: per-location patrol report as PDF
- Multi-location management: all of a security company's sites in one dashboard
Revenue model
- Monthly subscription per location or guard
- Sales of QR/NFC tags and installation service
- White-label (own-brand) licensing for security companies
- Advanced reporting and incident analytics add-on module
Why now?
Organizations buying security services now ask not just for headcount but for verifiable service quality. The spread of smartphones reduces the need for expensive tour reader devices. In Turkey, the large number of residential complexes, business centers and industrial facilities is pushing security companies toward digital reporting; the same product can also be adapted for facility management companies in Europe. Firms that provide verifiable reports stand out from competitors at contract renewals.

End-to-end roadmap
- Validate the idea (1 week): Interviews with target customers, competitor and pricing research; we sharpen the idea together in a free pre-analysis.
- Scope and design (1–2 weeks): MVP feature list, screen designs and technical architecture; written scope and quote.
- Build the MVP (3–6 weeks): Staged development with weekly demos and a test environment; the source code belongs to you.
- Pilot (2–4 weeks): Real use with the first customers, feedback and fixes.
- Launch and grow (ongoing): App Store and Google Play release, website and SEO, payments and subscriptions, new modules.
Timelines are estimates; they are fixed in a written quote once the scope is clear.
Risks and how to handle them
- Photographing a QR tag and scanning it remotely: location verification at the point, an NFC tag option and dynamic checks should be added
- Guard location data (KVKK, Turkish data protection law): location should be captured only at scan time, and guards should receive a privacy notice
- No internet in the field: the app should record offline and sync when the connection returns
Technologies
Frequently asked questions
Does a guard tour system need special devices?
No. The guard's smartphone is enough; QR tags are attached to checkpoints. Security can be increased with NFC tags if desired.
What happens if a guard skips the tour?
For points not scanned at the scheduled time, the system sends the manager an instant notification and the case appears in the report as a missed tour.
Does it work in basements without internet?
The PWA records offline; scans are stored on the phone and uploaded to the server when the connection returns.
Is collecting guards' location a problem?
Location is personal data; a privacy notice compliant with KVKK (Turkish data protection law) must be provided and location must be captured only at scan time, for proof of patrol.
