What problem does it solve?
In tourist cities, most transfer work still runs on phone calls, messaging apps and hand-kept lists. When a flight is delayed the driver is not informed, the passenger cannot find the car at the airport, and price and vehicle type are not clear in advance. The company owner cannot see from one place where each driver is, which transfer has been paid, or how many jobs the day brought. Add language barriers and lack of trust on the foreign tourist side, and cancellations and complaints increase. In short, the demand is there, but there is no organized, trackable process from booking to drop-off.
Target customers
- Airport and hotel transfer companies
- Chauffeur and VIP minibus operators
- Boutique hotels and holiday resorts
- Travel agencies and tour operators
- Companies hosting corporate guests
- Entrepreneurs who want to build their own transfer brand
How the product works
Through the passenger app, the transfer is pre-booked by choosing pickup and destination, date, number of passengers and vehicle type; the price is shown at booking. Entering the flight number passes meet-and-greet details to the driver. The driver app accepts the job, marks departure and passenger pickup, and live location is shared with the passenger. In the management dashboard, the operations manager assigns jobs to drivers, tracks the fleet on a map, and follows payments and driver earnings. Hotels and agencies can create bulk bookings for their guests from their own dashboards. A multilingual interface lets foreign passengers complete the process in their own language.
What the first version (MVP) needs
- Passenger booking: advance booking with locations, date, vehicle type and passenger count
- Flight details: informing the driver with flight number and meet-and-greet note
- Driver app: job acceptance, trip status and live location sharing
- Operations dashboard: assigning jobs to drivers and tracking the fleet on a map
- Online payment: prepayment or pay-in-vehicle options
- Agency/hotel dashboard: bulk bookings on behalf of guests
- Notifications: booking confirmation, driver details and reminder messages
- Reports: daily jobs, driver earnings and collection summary
Revenue model
- Commission per transfer (marketplace model)
- Monthly or annual software subscription for transfer companies
- Corporate transfer agreements with hotels and agencies
- White-label setup for companies wanting to operate under their own brand
Why now?
In Turkey's coastal and cultural tourism cities, transfers between airport and hotel are a recurring, plannable need every season. Foreign tourists now want to get the service from their phone, in their own language and prepaid. Most transfer companies, however, have not yet adopted digital operations tools. This gap offers solid ground both for selling software to local companies and for building your own transfer brand in a specific city. The same model can also be adapted to tourist regions in Europe.
A faster start on a ready platform
Hakan's Taxi, Fleet & POS platform, which includes passenger, driver and fleet apps, vehicle dispatch from live location and POS, already covers the foundation of this idea. Instead of starting from scratch, adapting this infrastructure to transfer booking can shorten MVP time.
End-to-end roadmap
- Validate the idea (1 week): Interviews with target customers, competitor and pricing research; we sharpen the idea together in a free pre-analysis.
- Scope and design (1–2 weeks): MVP feature list, screen designs and technical architecture; written scope and quote.
- Build the MVP (6–10 weeks): Staged development with weekly demos and a test environment; the source code belongs to you.
- Pilot (2–4 weeks): Real use with the first customers, feedback and fixes.
- Launch and grow (ongoing): App Store and Google Play release, website and SEO, payments and subscriptions, new modules.
Timelines are estimates; they are fixed in a written quote once the scope is clear.
Risks and how to handle them
- Commercial passenger transport permits: work with licensed vehicles and certified companies, and add document checks to the platform.
- Location data and KVKK (Turkish data protection law): collect live location only during the trip, obtain a privacy notice and explicit consent, and use a licensed payment institution for payments.
- Seasonal demand: balance revenue in winter months with corporate transfers and in-city chauffeur services.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need my own vehicles to start a VIP transfer app?
No. You can sell the platform as software to transfer companies or work in a marketplace model with partnered licensed companies.
Can the app be multilingual for foreign tourists?
Yes. The passenger app and notifications can be prepared in multiple languages; booking and payment are completed in the passenger's language.
What should I watch out for with payments and location data?
Card details should not be stored on your server, and a licensed payment institution should be used. Location data is personal data under KVKK (Turkish data protection law); privacy notice, consent and retention rules must be applied.
How do hotels and agencies join the system?
They create bookings for their guests from their own dashboard; invoicing and commissions are tracked through this dashboard.
