What problem does it solve?
Printed menus have to be reprinted whenever prices change, and they wear out quickly. At peak hours guests wait for the waiter, ordering and bill times get longer and table turnover drops. Orders noted down by waiters can reach the kitchen wrong or incomplete. Foreign guests struggle to understand the menu. The owner cannot clearly see how much each item sells or when the busy hours are. At a time when hiring staff is getting harder, the existing team needs to work more efficiently.
Target customers
- Cafes and coffee shops
- Restaurants and casual eateries
- Bars, pubs and beach clubs
- Hotel restaurants and room service
- Food chains and multi-location brands
How the product works
The business enters categories, items, photos, allergen information and prices from the web panel, and a QR code is generated for each table. When a guest scans the QR code, the mobile menu opens in their own language without downloading an app. When an order is placed, items appear on the kitchen or bar display with the table number, and the waiter is notified when the order is ready. The guest pays the bill by card on their phone or calls the waiter. Price and stock changes are reflected on the menu instantly. The panel reports item sales, peak hours and revenue per table.
What the first version (MVP) needs
- Digital menu management: categories, items, photos, allergens and prices
- Table QR codes: per-table code generation and printing
- Table ordering: order over the web without downloading an app
- Kitchen display: order flow with table numbers and preparation status
- Online payment: pay the bill by card through a licensed payment institution
- Waiter call: waiter and bill request notifications from the table
- Multilingual menu: menu offered in more than one language
- Reports: item sales, peak hours and daily revenue
Revenue model
- Monthly or annual subscription per business
- Tiered packages by number of locations or tables
- Service fee on online payments, subject to the payment institution agreement
- Add-on services such as QR stand printing, setup and POS integration
Why now?
Guests have grown used to opening menus by QR code, and businesses want to cut staff costs and error rates. In tourist areas the need for multilingual menus is clear. While simple QR menu solutions are common, there is room for subscription products suited to small businesses that combine ordering, payment and a kitchen display in one package. With its multilingual structure, the same product can be offered to cafes and restaurants in Europe.
End-to-end roadmap
- Validate the idea (1 week): Interviews with target customers, competitor and pricing research; we sharpen the idea together in a free pre-analysis.
- Scope and design (1–2 weeks): MVP feature list, screen designs and technical architecture; written scope and quote.
- Build the MVP (6–10 weeks): Staged development with weekly demos and a test environment; the source code belongs to you.
- Pilot (2–4 weeks): Real use with the first customers, feedback and fixes.
- Launch and grow (ongoing): App Store and Google Play release, website and SEO, payments and subscriptions, new modules.
Timelines are estimates; they are fixed in a written quote once the scope is clear.
Risks and how to handle them
- Payment regulation: card payments must go through a licensed payment institution, card data must not be stored in the system and funds must be transferred directly to the business's account
- Legal receipts and POS compliance: to document sales in line with tax regulations, integrate with existing POS or cash register systems or respect the business's receipt process; verify this with an accountant
- Accuracy of allergen and price information: keeping menu information up to date should be the business's responsibility, and the panel should offer easy updates and an approval step

Frequently asked questions
Do guests need to download an app?
No; when the QR code is scanned, the menu opens in the browser, and ordering and payment are done over the web.
Are payments taken at the table secure?
Payment is taken through a licensed payment institution's secure page, card details are not stored in the system and the amount is transferred directly to the business's account.
Can it work alongside an existing POS system?
If the POS system has an integration interface, orders and payments can be transferred; otherwise the kitchen display and reports work independently, and legal receipts continue to be issued through the business's existing register.
Can the menu be shown in more than one language?
Yes; item names and descriptions are entered in different languages, and guests view the menu in their phone's language or by choosing a language.
